The 2019 and Newer Silverado & Sierra both offer a wide variety of seating options which can be broken down into two main categories - Bucket Seats and Split Bench Seats. While having the bucket seat layout does make the truck feel more luxurious it also does come with the drawback of only allowing seating for 2 in a regular cab, or 5 in a crew cab. If you've purchased a truck with bucket seats and you've found yourself in a position where you need a bench seat there's no need to run out truck shopping - you can easily convert your truck to legally seat 3 up front! 
Converting from bucket seats to a split bench seat is actually much more simple than it sounds. Your existing front bucket seats can accommodate a new jump seat without any modification. This is because GM uses the same outboard seats for the bucket seat as they do for the split bench.

2019 - 2024 Chevy Silverado Jump Seat, Black Cloth, w/ Upper Storage #1045The T1 truck offered a few different versions of the center jump seat. The work truck had a seat that could fold down and had cupholders. These are available in both Cloth and Vinyl. They have no storage and aren't great for anything other that holding a third person or holding two cups. 
Higher trimmed trucks had a more functional jump seat available. As standard they came with a storage area underneath the armrest. Lower storage was also available as an option most commonly seen on leather seats.

To complete this conversion we have to address the area where the factory flow-through console meets the dashboard. With the console removed there's a fairly large hole in the dash that needs a couple parts to fill it. This requires three specific trim pieces to ensure a seamless look and proper fit. The lower trim covers the lower section of the dash, while the upper trim pieces close off the upper part. Additionally, a bolt access cover is needed to conceal the bolts on the lower cover for a clean, factory appearance.

For convenience, the most common replacement part numbers are below. These numbers apply to 2019 - 2021 1500 Trucks and 2020 - 2023 Heavy Duty trucks. We have not done the conversion on a T1 with the updated dash as of yet so specific part numbers are not available.

Wiring 

As of the date of writing there is no "plug-and-play" kit available. We recommend checking with your local car audio shop to discuss options moving any electronics your specific console was outfitted with elsewhere.
